Manuel Pellegrini has issued a warning to Arsenal by claiming West Ham have improved in every sense since the last meeting between the sides back in August.

The east Londoners will be aiming to build on their FA Cup third round success over Birmingham City when they host Arsenal at the London Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League.

However, the reverse fixture between the sides early on in the season worked out completely in favour of Arsenal, who registered a 3-1 comeback win over the Hammers.

Despite struggling to make the best use of an early lead through Marko Arnautovic during that game, Pellegrini is confident about the progress West Ham have made under him since then.

The Chilean issued a warning to Arsenal ahead of the Gunners’ trip to the London Stadium by claiming West Ham have improved in every sense since the last meeting between the sides.

“We have changed a lot more with four months of working”, Pellegrini said in a press conference ahead of the meeting with Arsenal.

“We didn’t play badly against Arsenal last time, but we lost with an own goal.

"After that we have worked hard, improved in every sense.”

West Ham, who are without a win in their last two outings in the Premier League, are currently 10th in the league table with 28 points.
