Juventus have probed the possibility of signing Aaron Ramsey this month, but feel Arsenal are asking for too much money.

Ramsey has already agreed a five-year contract with the Italian champions for a move in the summer to Turin on a free transfer.

The Welshman is reportedly set to undergo a medical with Juventus on Sunday before signing a pre-contract agreement with the club following the Italian Super Cup final next week.

However, it has been claimed that Juventus are trying to assess the possibility of getting their hands on the midfielder this month and have approached Arsenal.

But according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, the Bianconeri have been put off by Arsenal’s asking price and are likely to sign him on a free transfer next summer.

It has been suggested that the Gunners quoted a fee of €20m for Ramsey and Juventus believe Arsenal are overvaluing a player who is in the last six months of his contract.

Unless Arsenal decide to drastically drop their financial demands, Ramsey will spend the rest of the season at the Emirates.

Juventus are confident that they have got their man in the bag despite claims that the Welshman is yet to take a final decision.
