Brighton & Hove Albion striker Florin Andone has insisted the Seagulls are prepared to do everything to win against Liverpool, who he feels are one of the best teams in the world.
Chris Hughton’s men return to action in the Premier League when they host table-toppers Liverpool at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
The Seagulls are currently on a four-game unbeaten run in all competitions, but have failed to win against Liverpool in the top flight.
Despite their poor record against the Reds in England’s first division, Andone insisted the Seagulls will try and do everything they can to cause an upset and make their fans and families happy.
However, Andone is well aware of the quality Liverpool have at their disposal and admitted Jurgen Klopp’s side can still inflict a heavy loss on any team irrespective of their form or record.
“You can be in the best moment and Liverpool can beat you 5-0”, Andone was quoted as saying by The Argus.
“We will try to do all the best for our fans and our families and we will try to win the game. We’ll see.”
The Romanian went on to claim that Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world and stressed that their loss to Manchester City won’t have any impact on the trip to Brighton.
“Manchester City is one of the best in the world so I don’t know if Liverpool losing to them is a bad or a good thing for us”, he continued.
“I know Liverpool are very strong, one of the best teams in the world, and it will be very hard.”
Andone, who joined Brighton from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer, has netted three goals from 13 appearances in all competitions so far this term.
