Roma are set to meet the representatives of Watford linked defender Ozan Kabak today for talks over a possible transfer to the Stadio Olimpico.

The 18-year-old defender has a €7.5m release clause in his contract at Galasaray and it has attracted the attention of several clubs in Europe.

A product of the Galatasaray academy, the highly-rated young centre-back has been on the radar of Serie A giants Inter and the Premier League’s Arsenal.

Watford are reportedly prepared to pay his clause in order to take him to England, but there is more Italian interest in the defender as well in the form of Roma.

According to Sky Italia, a meeting has been scheduled between Roma and Kabak’s representatives to discuss the possibility of the Turk moving to the Italian capital.

Roma are expected to seek to understand the possible financial structure of a proposed deal and assess the possibility of signing the youngster in the coming days.

Galatasaray want the youngster to continue at the club until the end of the season and Roma are prepared to let him stay until the summer if a deal can be agreed this month.

Kabak has made 13 league appearances for Galatasaray this season and has also tasted Champions League football.
