Valencia have been left trailing, with transfer target Munas Dabbur having set his heart on joining Liverpool, it has been claimed.

The Red Bull Salzburg striker has been catching the eye with his performances for the Austrian giants this season.

Dabbur has netted 20 times in 30 games for Red Bull Salzburg, a total which includes two goals against Brendan Rodgers' Celtic in the Europa League.

His exploits have seen him linked with both Valencia and Liverpool – and Dabbur has a clear preference.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Valencia have been left trailing in the chase for the Israel international as he prefers a move to Liverpool.

Dabbur is a firm fan of Jurgen Klopp's methods and is keen to turn out under the German at Anfield.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool will make a move to try to sign Dabbur in this month's transfer window.

The 26-year-old is under contract with Red Bull Salzburg until the summer of 2021.
