A switch to Dynamo Kyiv for Leeds United target Fran Sol now looks to be off, leaving the player upset.

Dynamo Kyiv have been working to capture the Spaniard from Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II and have already agreed personal terms with the 26-year-old.

It was thought the Ukrainians had agreed a fee with Willem II for Sol, who has also been linked with a move to Leeds to play under Marcelo Bielsa.

But, according to Dutch daily the Brabants Dagblad, Willem II have turned down a bid from Dynamo Kyiv, placing the transfer in doubt and leaving Sol sad.

Sol is less than pleased, saying: "I love Willem II, but this offer is too good to pass up.

"I feel very sad.

"It was a great deal for me and my family to secure our future", Sol added.

Sol's contract with Willem II is due to run out at the end of the season, but the Dutch club have an option to extend it by a further year.

The Spaniard is now expected back at Willem II training on Tuesday after missing Monday's session.

It remains to be seen if Dynamo Kyiv come in with a new bid or Leeds firm up their interest in a player who has netted an impressive 13 goals in the Dutch top flight so far this season.
