No Contact From Barcelona For Chelsea Star

Olivier Giroud’s agent has had no contact from Barcelona over a possible move to the Nou Camp for the Chelsea striker.

Atletico Madrid are pushing to land Alvaro Morata from Chelsea in January, but one more Blues striker's future has come under the scanner due to speculation in Catalunya.

The Catalan giants are keen to sign an experienced striker in January and Giroud has emerged as one of the targets for the club in the winter window.

Girona’s Cristhian Stuani is said to be their top target, but Barcelona are also open to the possibility of snaring Giroud away from Chelsea.

But according to French outlet Foot Mercato, the agent of the Chelsea striker has not been contacted by Barcelona yet over a possible transfer in the winter window.

Giroud is not an automatic choice in Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea side and has struggled to get starts under the Italian this season.

But Chelsea are expected to block any attempt to sign the Frenchman as they could let Morata leave.

Giroud has a contract until the end of the season with Chelsea.
