Liverpool linked striker Luka Jovic has emerged as a target for La Liga giants Barcelona, it has been claimed.

The Serbian joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a two-year loan deal from Benfica in 2017 and after using a season to get used to German football, the striker has taken Bundesliga by storm this term.

Currently the top scorer in the German top tier with 12 goals in 15 appearances, Jovic has forced several clubs to steal glances at his talent in the 2018/19 campaign.

Liverpool have been keeping tabs on his development with a view to possibly signing him in the future and another European bigwig have entered the race for him.

According to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are alive to the possibility of signing Jovic in the future as they look to freshen up their attack.

They are unlikely to bring in a striker in January, but the Catalan giants are eyeing signing an attacker in the summer and are looking at a number of options.
