Stoke City are set to host Leeds United this Saturday, and the game could see the largest crowd at the bet365 Stadium yet this season.

The Potters have not sold out all the tickets yet, but are well on their way to eclipse the record of 28,160 against Birmingham City in October, which remains the most attended game in the Championship this season for the club.

Following Stoke’s relegation to the Championship last May, the club’s average attendance dropped from more than 29,000 to 24,404 this season.

Stoke have struggled for consistency this season and are currently 15th in the league table.

The club sacked Gary Rowett from his role of manager more than a week ago and replaced him with Nathan Jones, tempting him from Luton Town.

Stoke didn’t fare any better under the Welshman’s first league game in charge of the club last Saturday against Brentford, and will hope to bounce back against Leeds.
