Sao Paulo shot-stopper Lucas Perri is set to complete his loan move to Crystal Palace within the next 48 hours and could replace Julian Speroni permanently next season, it has been claimed.

Perri, who was also linked with a switch to Fiorentina this month, is inching closer to becoming a Crystal Palace player, albeit on a temporary basis for now.

According to Sky Sports News, the Brazilian will complete his loan switch to the Premier League with the Eagles in the next 48 hours after both teams agreed on a deal.

And Perri could permanently replace Speroni next season, if Crystal Palace decide to trigger the €7m purchase option in his contract at the end of the current agreement.

Perri has represented Brazil at Under-20 level, but has yet to make an appearance for the first team at Sao Paulo so far this term.

The 21-year-old custodian will add to the competition for places at Selhurst Park and could even become a player for the future, should Crystal Palace trigger his purchase option at the end of the season.
