Celtic legend Pat Bonner has admitted he is unsure about the transfer business the club have done in this month's window, though he admits the Hoops are following a well established policy.

Brendan Rodgers side have made attacking reinforcements to their squad in the January transfer window, but none of them are experienced players.

Celtic have not been runaway leaders this season unlike previous editions under Rodgers, as the Hoops had an inconsistent first half of the season, and are at the top of the table by virtue of goal difference.

Although Celtic have signed three players already in the January transfer window, Bonners feels the Parkhead side took a step back in the last two transfer windows.

“I’m not sure about the signings so far”, Bonner was quoted as saying by the Herald.

“We’re talking about young boys, after all, which appears to be the club policy.

“The biggest disappointment for the fans has been the failure during the two previous transfer windows to bring in three or four players in key positions who would now be ready to go.”

Celtic have scored the most number of goals in the Scottish Premiership this season, but have added more firepower in Timothy Weah and Vakoun Issouf Bayo, as Leigh Griffiths has taken indefinite time out to deal with issues off the pitch.
