Roma have rejected bids for Patrik Schick and Edin Dzeko from Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United respectively, it has been claimed.

The two Premier League clubs are in the market for strikers due to events that have happened around their top hitmen this month.

Tottenham have been forced into looking into the January market for a striker due to an injury to Harry Kane, who will be out of action until March and miss key games in the Premier League and Europe.

West Ham are moving towards selling Marko Arnautovic after receiving offers from China and the striker has made it clear that he wants the move to the Chinese Super League.

And according to Italian broadcaster Rai Sport, the two clubs tabled bids with Roma to take Schick and Dzeko to England during the January transfer window.

Tottenham wanted Schick and West Ham are keen to sign Dzeko, who worked with Manuel Pellegrini previously at Manchester City.

But the Serie A giants rejected both bids as they are not prepared to sell at present.

It remains to be seen whether the two clubs look to return to Roma with improved bids or look at other targets.
