Arsenal linked forward Nicolas Pepe has rejected an offer to join Chinese outfit Dalian Yifang, it has been claimed.

The Lille attacker’s performances this season have been picked up by several clubs in Europe, including several from the Premier League.

He was linked with a move to England in January with Arsenal believed to be suitors, but the forward decided against changing clubs in the middle of the season.

But towards the end of the January window, Lille came under pressure to sell Pepe as according to France Football, Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang tabled a massive bid.

The Chinese club slapped in an offer worth €80m to test Lille’s resolve and wanted to take Pepe to China in the coming days.

But they were stopped in their tracks by Pepe, who rejected a lucrative contract offer from Dalian Yifang and decided against making a move to Asia at this stage of his career.
