Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists there is still a lot more to come from summer-recruit Naby Keita after his impressive display during the win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Reds returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a dominant display over Bournemouth during their 3-0 win on Saturday at Anfield.

Despite suffering back-to-back draws against Leicester City and West Ham United in recent weeks, Liverpool swiftly brushed aside the Cherries on the back of goals from Sadio Mane, Georginio Wijnaldum and Mohamed Salah.

And Klopp tipped his hat to the performance produced by Keita, who struggled during the last outing against West Ham, as he clocked the full 90 minutes.

The Liverpool boss feels Keita recovered well from the poor first half display at the London Stadium and even went on to claim there is a lot more to come from the midfielder in the future.

“You need a good performance.

"The second half against West Ham was good, the first half wasn’t that good but the second half was really good”, Klopp told the club’s official website.

“If you fall into a little hole you have to make sure you get out by yourself.

"That’s what he did in the second half at West Ham and it was clear this game would be the next step for him.

“It was really nice to see that game and see how the people appreciate it.

"He is in a lot of situations, passing these little balls through a really tight midfield.

“It’s just good. And there’s a lot more to come. That was a good one.”

Keita, who arrived at Liverpool from RB Leipzig last summer, led the team for touches (120), passes in the opposition half (63), duels (15), possession gains (12) and tackles (seven) during the win over Bournemouth.
