FC Porto have been boosted by the fitness of key man Alex Telles, who is expected to be fit for the club's Champions League meeting with Liverpool next Tuesday.

The left-back suffered an injury last weekend against Braga, picking up a problem with his right hip.

His recovery has been quicker than expected, but Telles is still expected to miss tomorrow night's derby against Boavista.

But, according to Portuguese outlet Zero Zero, Porto expect Telles to be fit enough to be in consideration to feature against Liverpool in the first leg of the club's Champions League quarter-final tie.

Telles underwent conditioning training on Wednesday with Porto.

The 26-year-old has clocked up 44 appearances for Porto across all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing ten assists for his team-mates.

Porto will depend on Telles' attacking threat when they lock horns with Liverpool at Anfield.

The defender scored against Roma in Porto's last 16 Champions League tie.
