Everton are expected to make a summer approach to sign Ajax winger David Neres, and will be boosted by the news that the Brazilian prefers a switch to England.

Ajax signed the 22-year-old Brazilian in January 2017 and the winger has made progress in his game this season with the Dutch champions.

Scoring eleven goals and providing 14 assists this season for Ajax, the Brazilian has piqued the interest of several clubs in Europe ahead of the summer transfer window.

AC Milan are interested in him and his representatives have spoken to the Italians, but a move to Italy would largely depend on Rossoneri earning Champions League qualification, which would help them to spend more in the market.

But according to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, Neres wants to move to the Premier League, where Everton are interested in snapping him up.

Ajax have already indicated their willingness to let the player go in the summer for the right price and Neres is keen on England as his next destination, with his model girlfriend currently living in London.

His representatives played a key role in Everton snapping up Richalirson and Bernard and share a close relationship with the Merseyside club.

Everton are tipped to present an offer for Ajax soon and the transfer fee would be expected to be around the €45m mark.
