No agreement is still in place between Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera and Paris Saint-Germain over a summer move, with Arsenal still in the race to sign the Spaniard.

Herrera is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move away from Manchester United in the coming months.

Manchester United have been trying to convince the Spaniard to sign a new contract, but there are suggestions that the club do not want to meet his wage demands at the moment.

PSG were reported to be in pole position to sign Herrera and the Parisians have been in negotiations with the midfielder’s representatives over a free transfer.

But according to French sports daily L’Equipe, PSG are yet to reach an agreement over a contract with the player and are still very much in the discussion phase.

Manchester United have not lost hope of keeping Herrera and the midfielder is also being targeted by Arsenal, who are banking on Unai Emery to convince the Spaniard.

But PSG remain cautiously optimistic about convincing Herrera to take the plunge and move to the Parc des Princes.
