AC Milan are showing interest in Celtic full-back target Timothy Castagne, for whom they could move during the summer transfer window.

Atalanta signed the defender from Genk in 2017 and he has emerged as a consistent performer for the Serie A side over the course of the last two seasons.

His performances in Italy have attracted the interest of several clubs in Europe and Scottish champions Celtic were keen on landing him in January, but had to make do with a short-term loan for Jeremy Toljan.

The Bhoys could be back in the market for a full-back in the summer, but they could stiff competition from one of the giants of Italian and European football for his signature.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, AC Milan have taken a liking for the player and are plotting to snare him away from Atalanta in the coming months.

The club hierarchy have been impressed by his ability to play on both the right and left side of the defence and believe his versatility would be valuable.
