Liverpool and Manchester United target Steven Bergwijn would prefer a move to the Premier League over other offers during the summer transfer window, it has been claimed.

The 21-year-old Dutch winger has been in pristine form for PSV Eindhoven this season and could move on during the summer transfer window.

Several clubs have been interested in signing him and Inter sporting Piero Ausilio met the player’s representatives last week over a possibility of taking him to the San Siro.

Inter are keen on Bergwijn, but they are facing major competition from the Premier League, where Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked.

And in a boost to the English pair, according to Italian outlet FcInterNews.in, Bergwijn prefers a move to the Premier League over other top leagues in the world.

The Dutchman is a fan of the English top tier and Premier League clubs have the capacity to offer better wages than in Italy.

However, Inter are not out of the race as the winger is also expected to demand assurances over playing time and it could play a key role in his decision.

Bergwijn has netted 13 goals across 36 games for PSV Eindhoven this season.
