Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe has hailed the club's fans for the atmosphere they created in the 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road.
With Sheffield United having slipped up earlier in the day by being held to a draw by Millwall, Leeds knew they could take full advantage by seeing off the Owls.
36,461 fans packed into Elland Road to see a Jack Harrison goal in the 65th minute prove the difference between the two sides and give second placed Leeds a three-point cushion over Sheffield United in third.
Roofe came off the bench in the second half, continuing to build up his fitness following an injury layoff, and the striker was delighted by the atmosphere at Elland Road.
He posted a photograph of himself in action in the game on social media and wrote: "Is that my oxygen over there geez!?
"Wow….winning with that atmosphere is what we dream about!"
Leeds fans will have another opportunity to create a fierce atmosphere on Friday when the Whites play host to struggling Wigan Athletic at Elland Road.
The Whites beat Wigan 2-1 in the meeting between the two sides earlier this season, but have not defeated the Latics in the last two encounters played out at Leeds.
