Mauricio Pochettino has warned the Tottenham Hotspur players they must be ready for a battle against Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Spurs booked their place in the semi-final of the Champions League with a dramatic win on away goals at the expense of Manchester City at the Etihad on Wednesday night.

However, the north Londoners will next face the same opponents at the same venue again on Saturday during their Premier League clash with the defending champions.

And ahead of the third meeting between the sides in the space of around 11 days, Pochettino has warned the Spurs players they must be ready for nothing short of a battle this weekend.

The Argentine tactician conceded that everyone is tired after an exhilarating return leg at the Etihad on Wednesday, but maintained Spurs must now forget about the Champions League and shift their focus back to the Premier League.

“Yes of course we are all tired after an amazing and crazy and unbelievable night”, Pochettino told a press conference.
