Manuel Pellegrini is coy over West Ham United's interest in Everton target Edin Dzeko, with the Hammers having been linked with the Roma striker.

Dzeko, 33, will enter the final year of his contract Roma at the end of the season and the Serie A giants are ready to sell him during the upcoming transfer window.

Inter are interested in signing him and he has also been linked with a return to the Premier League, with West Ham and Everton credited with chasing him.

Pellegrini worked with the veteran striker at Manchester City and is claimed to be keen on reuniting with his former striker at the London Stadium ahead of next season.

But the West Ham boss refused to confirm whether the Hammers are indeed considering signing the former Premier League winning striker.

Asked about the Dzeko rumours, Pellegrini said in a press conference: “Exactly the same answer with the last 25 players linked with us.

“I won’t talk about rumours.”

It remains to be seen if West Ham do look to battle Everton and Inter for the striker's signature.

Dzeko has netted 86 goals in 173 appearances for Roma since joining the club in 2015.
