Wigan Athletic boss Paul Cook says the Latics must do justice to their travelling supporters at Leeds United, with the manager expecting a good atmosphere at Elland Road.

The strugglers play Leeds at Elland Road this afternoon, as they look to continue with their fight to secure their status in the Championship this season.

Cook's side have 1,487 away tickets allocated to them for the match and hope to repay the faith shown by those that will be making the trip to Yorkshire.

Heaping praise on the Leeds fans, who he believes have turned out to be true friends for the team, the Wigan manager said that the atmosphere at Elland Road has been terrific and will always be.

And Cook is looking forward to a tough test.

“It’ll be a fantastic occasion, a fantastic game. It’s great to see a club like Leeds doing so well", Cook told his club's official website.

“The crowd is their friend, the atmosphere at Elland Road has been that way and always will be.

“For us, it's totally a different story in terms of going across tomorrow, and wanting to do justice for our fans and our travelling supporters.

“It’ll be a tough game for us.

"We are under no illusions of that but it's one I am very much looking forward to.”

Wigan are only two points above the Championship relegation zone and have the worst away record in the division.
