Real Madrid have ramped up their scouting on Liverpool and Barcelona target Luka Jovic and are in advanced talks to sign him in the summer.

The 21-year-old striker has been in pristine form for Eintracht Frankfurt this season and the German club are set to take up the option to sign him on a permanent deal from Benfica.

But it is unclear whether Jovic will be at the club next season as a slew of top clubs in Europe are interested in signing the hitman in the coming months.

Barcelona have long been taking a look at him and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is an admirer.

Real Madrid have also been keen to sign him and, according to Spanish daily AS, they are in advanced talks to make sure they get their hands on Jovic in the summer.

Scouts from the Spanish giants have been regularly watching him in the Bundesliga and Europa League and the club have already met the player’s agent.

Real Madrid have made a financial offer to the player’s agent and are hopeful of convincing Jovic to move to the Bernabeu.

Such a move could put Real Madrid on a transfer collision course with Barcelona and Liverpool.

Eintracht Frankfurt are expected to demand a fee in the region of €50m and €60m from Jovic’s suitors, with 20 per cent of any fee to go to Benfica.
