Patrick Vieira has opened the door to managing Arsenal or Inter in the future, with the current Nice coach admitting a preference for his former clubs.

Vieira, who spent almost a decade in north London with Arsenal, joined Nice as their permanent coach from New York City in the MLS last summer.

The Frenchman has managed to give a good account of himself in his first stint as boss in Europe and has been linked with Lyon as the replacement for Bruno Genesio.

However, despite the links, Vieira has admitted he would prefer coaching Arsenal or Inter in the future, if the opportunity ever came to him.

The former Arsenal captain added that almost all players dream of coaching the teams they played for and revealed his special liking for both Arsenal and Inter.

"All players dream of one day coaching the team where we played”, Vieira said on the Canal Football Club on Sunday.

“I spent time at Inter and it's a club I like a lot.

"Arsenal is one of those clubs where I played my best football.

“Coach Arsenal … why not?”.

Vieira won three league titles and as many FA Cup trophies during his nine-year stint with Arsenal, under the guidance of Arsene Wenger.
