Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton admits the Seagulls are relishing their trip to face Tottenham Hotspur and wants his team to build on their clean sheet at Wolves on Saturday.

The Seagulls, who sit just above the relegation zone, return to action in the Premier League on Tuesday, when they lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur away from home.

Hughton’s men put an end to a run of four straight defeats in the Premier League with a 0-0 draw against high-flying Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.

And they will be keen to build on that performance in a bid to avoid relegation at the end of the season, with just four games remaining this term.

Ahead of their trip to north London, Hughton has admitted Brighton are relishing the trip to face Tottenham as they aim to fight tooth and nail to survive another year of top flight football.

"We're looking forward to tomorrow night but we know it will be tough”, Hughton said in a press conference.

"I've not been there yet, how much I'll enjoy it will be down to the performance."

The Brighton boss also insisted he wants the Seagulls to build on their clean sheet away from home against Wolves to remain tight at the back and salvage something from the game on Tuesday.

"The clean sheet was also well needed after the last few games, it can give us a lift”, he continued.

"You have to be tight as a unit at places like tomorrow night – we now need to respond to that again."

Brighton will be without the services of Davy Propper, who came off injured in the 10th minute during the game against Wolves, when they face Spurs on Tuesday.
