Bayern Munich are not in the race for Liverpool target Luka Jovic

The 21-year-old has shone for Eintracht Frankfurt, on loan from Benfica, and the Bundesliga club are keeping him on a permanent deal.

But Jovic's superb form – he has found the back of the net 25 times in 42 appearances and has also helped set up seven more goals for his team-mates – mean Eintracht Frankfurt could be set to make a big profit on him in the summer.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been linked with Jovic, while Liverpool are mooted to be keen.

But Bayern Munich will not be entering the mix for Jovic, even though they have former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Niko Kovac in the dugout.

According to German outlet Spox, Bayern Munich have ruled out bidding for Jovic.

Eintracht Frankfurt might demand a fee in the region of €60m to €70m to sell Jovic, with Benfica due 20 per cent.

Kovac is a big fan of Jovic, but Bayern Munich are not convinced of the need to act.
