Arsenal's chief scout took in Sampdoria's Serie A meeting with Lazio on Sunday, running the rule over a key midfield target for the Gunners.

Unai Emery is expected to be in the market for midfielders in the summer, with Arsenal set to lose Aaron Ramsey to Juventus after allowing the Welshman's contract to run down.




The north London club are deep in summer transfer window planning and, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, had their chief scout at Sampdoria on Sunday.

The scout is claimed to have been running the rule over Sampdoria's Dennis Praet.
 


Sampdoria value the Belgian midfielder at around the €25m mark and bids for his services could arrive in the summer.

The 24-year-old has been a key man for Sampdoria in their Serie A campaign this season, making 29 appearances in the Italian top flight, scoring twice and providing two assists.

He has now clocked over 100 appearances for Sampdoria, since joining the club in 2016.

Also in attendance at Sampdoria's game was Juventus' sporting director Fabio Paratici.

Sampdoria lost the match, with Lazio running out 2-1 winners.
