Ben Parker still believes that Leeds United are the best team in the Championship, despite the Whites finishing behind Norwich City and Sheffield United.

Leeds suffered a disastrous Easter period, handing the automatic promotion advantage to Sheffield United, and Chris Wilder's men made no mistake, booking a Premier League spot along with Norwich.

But despite Leeds finishing behind the Canaries and the Blades, former Whites defender Parker has no doubt that Marcelo Bielsa's men are the best team in the division.

Parker also believes Leeds must approach a playoff campaign with excitement and confidence, with the Premier League within touching distance.

He said on LUTV at the club's end of season awards dinner: "I still believe we are the best team in this division.

"Yes, Norwich might win the league, Sheffield United runners-up, but I believe on our day we are the best team.

"We've got to go out and produce that [in the playoffs], that's the pressure.

"But these are the games you want to play in.

"You are three games from the Premier League, so you've got to take care of your own business."

Leeds have just one game left in the season, with the Whites due to warm up for their playoff push by taking on an already relegated Ipswich Town outfit at Portman Road.
