Atletico Madrid have slapped in a first bid with Fenerbahce for Tottenham Hotspur linked midfielder Eljif Elmas.
The 19-year-old Macedonian midfielder has attracted the prying eyes of several sides this season with his performances at Fenerbahce.
Inter are interested in the teenager and Elmas has also been on the radar of clubs such as Lazio, Fiorentina and Premier League giants Tottenham ahead of the summer.
Spanish heavyweights Atletico Madrid have also joined the race and are claimed to have made a concrete move to sign Elmas in the next few months.
According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Los Colchoneros have put an offer of around €15m on Fenerbahce’s table in order to take the youngster to the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Spanish giants are also prepared to offer players to the Turkish giants as part of a deal to get their hands on Elmas this summer.
Fenerbahce are looking for a striker and could ask for Nikola Kalinic as part of the negotiations.
Atletico Madrid have made an early move in order to beat off considerable competition for Elmas’ signature.
