Juventus are considering making a move for Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, but want to sign him next summer on a free transfer.

Gundogan will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the season and has stopped all negotiations over a new deal as he considers his future at the Etihad ahead of the transfer window.

The midfielder is considering leaving Pep Guardiola’s side and has managed to attract the interest of several top clubs ahead of the summer.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are monitoring his situation and the German has also emerged as an in-demand player in Italy.

According to Italian outlet TuttoJuve, Gundogan has emerged on the radar of Juventus and they are considering signing him.

But they want to take him to Turin next year, when he will be available on a free transfer if he does not pen a new Manchester City contract.

Juventus are eyeing him as a long term replacement for his German compatriot Sami Khedira.
