Newcastle United are showing interest in West Ham United target Dorukhan Tokoz.

The 22-year-old midfielder has kicked on with his development at Besiktas since joining the Turkish giants from Eskisehirspor last year and scouts have been making the trip to watch him.

West Ham have been linked with lining up a potential bid for Dorukhan, but he also has interest from St James' Park.

According to Turkish daily Hurriyet, Newcastle have been scouting the midfielder for some time and have been putting together a final report.

Magpies boss Rafael Benitez could look to act on the interest and take Dorukhan to England in the rapidly approaching summer transfer window.

Besiktas however are not keen on letting the midfielder go and he put pen to paper to a three-year deal at the club last year.

No official bid has yet gone in for Dorukhan and it has been claimed the player could look for an improved contract due to the interest in his services.

Besiktas are tipped to be in no mind to consider any bids which are less than the €15m to €20m mark.

Dorukhan won his first senior Turkey cap earlier this year in a Euro 2020 qualifier against Albania.
