Inter coach Luciano Spalletti wants the Italian giants to move for Arsenal and Liverpool linked Steven Bergwijn, but the club have identified Udinese winger Rodrigo de Paul as a cheaper alternative.

Bergwijn has caught the eye of many with his performances for PSV Eindhoven this season and has piqued the interest of several sides.

There has been interest in him from the Premier League, with giants Arsenal and Liverpool keeping tabs on the Dutchman.

Inter have also been keeping an eye on him and it has been claimed that they have settled on Bergwijn and Udinese winger De Paul as their primary wing targets.

However, they will only sign one of the players and, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, Spalletti has advised the club to move for Bergwijn from a technical point of view.

But the Inter hierarchy also have other considerations to take into account and the club believe De Paul would be a more financially prudent move.

And Inter are also prepared to offer players to Udinese to further bring down the eventual transfer fee.

Inter could find themselves financially outgunned if they try to battle Liverpool and Arsenal for Bergwijn.
