The representatives of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur target Youcef Atal have already met officials from two Italian clubs, ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old Nice defender has piqued the interest of several top European clubs with his performances in the top tier of French football this season.

European giants such as Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have been keeping tabs on him, while from the Premier League he has interest from Chelsea and Tottenham.

Atal has also been attracting the interest of clubs in Italy and it has been claimed concrete steps have already been taken by two Serie A outfits to sign the defender this summer.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, officials from two Italian clubs have conducted a meeting with the representatives of the defender to discuss a potential transfer.

Nice have been unwilling to sell the player and are likely to offer him a new contract in order to hold on to him.

But the player has not been happy this season as he has often been played out of position.

It remains to be seen whether Atal pushes for a transfer in the summer if more concrete interest is shown by some of his other top suitors.
