Arsenal target Wesley has admitted that he has always been keen on playing in the Premier League, giving the Gunners' hopes of signing him a boost.

Wesley has been in superb form for Club Brugge over the course of the season and his performances have seen several clubs linked with wanting him, including Arsenal and Lazio.

The Brazilian first wants to help Club Brugge in their battle to win the Belgian title, but he is already thinking of what comes after and, in words which will encourage Arsenal, has indicated the Premier League is his priority, even if he will not rule out moving elsewhere.

He told Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws: "The Premier League has always charmed me.

"On the other hand, any beautiful club in a top competition could be equally interesting.

"A top European club or rather a club just under the top. It just has to be attractive."

And Wesley insists that his focus is on making sure he goes somewhere that he will play regularly and not be simply one of many squad players.

"You want to play and feel confident", the attacker explained.

"Be important, not just one of the many walking around."

Just 22 years old, Wesley has hit 17 goals in all competitions for Club Brugge this season, along with chipping in with ten assists.

Club Brugge are looking for over €15m for the Brazilian and it remains to be seen if Arsenal will firm up their interest with a bid.
