Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Liverpool linked talent Abdulkadir Omur, who is on the books at Trabzonspor.

Omur, who came up through the ranks at the Medical Park Stadium, is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in Turkish football.

As such, the 19-year-old has piqued the interest of several clubs in Europe, including Liverpool from the Premier League.

However, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Manchester United have now stepped up their interest in Omur by sending a scout watch him in recent weeks.

The Red Devils, along with Ligue 1 side Lille, are believed to be keen on snaring Omur away from the clutches of other European clubs waiting in line ahead of the summer transfer window.

In addition to the interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, Omur has also popped up on the radar of other European bigwigs in the form of Roma, Napoli and Barcelona.

And it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can get over the line ahead of several other competitors in the hotly-contested race for Omur.

Despite the concrete interest in Omur, it is unclear whether Trabzonspor are under any inclination to cash in on the player during the summer.

Omur, who has a contract with Trabzonspor that runs until 2022, has prominently featured across all age groups for Turkey.
