Chelsea star Mario Pasalic wants to make his loan switch to Atalanta a permanent move and is giving priority to the Italian side despite interest from other clubs.

Pasalic, who secured a season-long switch to Serie A with Atalanta last summer, has featured prominently for the club in all competitions this term.

The 24-year-old has netted seven goals and registered as many assists for his team-mates, after quickly establishing himself as a regular in Lombardy under Gian Piero Gasperini.

Atalanta have the option to sign Pasalic on a permanent basis in the summer, should they pay Chelsea around €15m, and have already held talks with respect to activating the clause.

And according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Pasalic is giving priority to a move to Atalanta over other clubs.

Despite the talks held between the sides regarding Pasalic’s future, an agreement has yet to be made as the midfielder continues to wait patiently for the developments in the saga.

The midfielder has a contract with Chelsea that runs until the summer of 2021.
