Juventus have tabled an offer with Roma for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo, as the race for the midfielder heats up.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has been in the eye of a transfer storm ahead of the end of the season and has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.

Roma want to hold on to Zaniolo and are prepared to offer him a better contract after just one good season at the Stadio Olimpico.

But they are facing some real heat to sell him as well, as clubs such as Tottenham and Bayern Munich are interested in snaring him away from Roma this summer.

Juventus have long been keeping a close watch on the saga around the youngster and, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, they have also moved in with a concrete bid.

It has been claimed that the Italian champions have tabled an offer of around €45m plus bonuses in order to get their hands on the young attacking midfielder.

They are also prepared to offer him a lucrative contract in order to tempt him to leave Roma.

Roma are yet to respond to the offer but they are unlikely to consider selling him for a fee less than the €60m mark.
