Maurizio Sarri’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain despite the Italian successfully navigating the club back into the Champions League.

Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Watford at the weekend confirmed a top four finish in the Premier League at the end of the season.

The Blues could even end the season with a trophy for their efforts as they are still very much with a chance to reach the final of the Europa League in Baku.

However, Sarri’s future at Chelsea has remained a topic of much conjecture and participating in the Champions League next season has done nothing to dispell the speculation.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Sarri could still leave Chelsea at the end of the season despite a top four finish and potential Europa League success.

The Italian’s relationship with the club’s hierarchy and some members of his squad remains strained despite the recent success.

Chelsea could still decide to get rid of the Italian and bring in a fresh face after just one season.

Roma have continued to track Sarri’s situation but they do not want to wait too long to appoint their new coach.
