Manchester United and Inter are interested in snapping up Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini this summer, it has been claimed.

The midfielder was on Manchester United’s radar last year as well and has continued to prove his mettle in the middle of the park for Roma this season.

With Ander Herrera set to leave and Paul Pogba’s future under consideration this summer, Manchester United are in the market for midfielders during the next transfer window.

And according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, the Premier League giants have rekindled their interest in the Italian ahead of the summer window.

However, they will face competition for his signature as Serie A giants Inter are also considering making a move for the midfielder in the coming months.

Pellegrini has a €30m release clause in his contract but that does not mean he is definitely leaving this summer as he has prioritised staying at Roma.

Personal reasons are still tipped to tilt the midfielder towards continuing at the Stadio Olimpico.

But a final decision has not been made and he wants to talk to Roma over his future before taking a call on what he wants to do this summer.
