Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has struck a coy note over potentially signing Leeds United target Daniel James.

Leeds came within a whisker of landing the winger on transfer deadline day in the January window, before Swansea City pulled the plug on the switch late on; the Whites have continued to be linked with James.

But earlier today it was claimed that Manchester United will be James' destination this summer and the Red Devils are all but done with a deal to snap him up.

However, Solskjaer is not ready to be drawn into the speculation and insists he cannot comment on every individual player linked with becoming a Red Devil.

Asked about James in a press conference, Solskjaer replied: "I can’t comment on every individual signing.

"I don’t like managers talking about my players.

"I wouldn’t talk about anyone else’s.

"We have identified players who fit the Man United squad.

"Let’s hope we can get them over the line", the Norwegian tactician added.

James has impressed for Swansea this season and is set to be a man in demand when the summer transfer window, which is now rapidly approaching, rolls out.

It remains to be seen if Old Trafford becomes his new home.
