Young goalkeeper Joshua Rae has confirmed his departure from Leeds United and is keen to see what the future holds.

Across the country decisions are being made on young players and Rae appears to be moving on to pastures new and away from Elland Road.

The goalkeeper, posting an image of his shirt on social media, wrote: "Would like to thank everyone at Leeds United for a great two years at the club.

"Time for a break and can’t wait to see what the future holds."

He was quickly wished well by Leeds attacker Jack Clarke, a player who has broken through into the first team set-up at Elland Road.

Clarke wrote on Twitter: "All the best brother, past couple years have been a pleasure."

The goalkeeper quickly replied, saying: "Will miss you bro, best keep in touch."

Rae spent time in the youth ranks at Celtic and Hamilton, north of the border, before heading south to link up with Leeds in the summer of 2017.

It remains to be seen if Rae will look to continue his career in England or return north of the border to his native Scotland as he seeks the next step in his development.
