Kemar Roofe has insisted Leeds United cannot afford to relax despite taking a 1-0 lead over Derby County in their Championship playoff semi-final tie.

Leeds dominated at Pride Park, with Frank Lampard's side not able to lay a glove on the visitors and not enjoying even a single shot on target throughout the 90 minutes.

Roofe scored the only goal of the game in the 55th minute following a superb ball into the box from Jack Harrison, which he was on hand to convert.

Leeds now take a precious away goal into the second leg at Elland Road, but despite now having beaten Derby three times this season, Roofe says the Whites cannot take their foot off the gas.

He said on Sky Sports after the game: "We've taken a good step as the first 90 minutes is done.

"You've seen all the drama and comebacks this week so we can't relax. We are going to have to concentrate.

"It was a great ball in by Jack and he has a wand of a left foot.

"I know I need to be in the box ready for anything, but the ball made the goal", Roofe added.

Leeds are now firmly in the driving seat to advance to the playoff final at Wembley and will start the second leg as big favourites to finish the job against a Derby side looking out of ideas against the Whites.
