Fenerbahce are leading Crystal Palace and West Ham United in the chase for Newcastle United midfielder Mohamed Diame.

The midfielder could be on the move from St. James' Park this summer, with his contract due to end, and he is not short of suitors.

Championship giants Leeds United have already been linked with holding an interest in Diame, but there are other clubs in the mix.

According to Turkish daily Sabah, both Crystal Palace and West Ham are chasing the Senegalese, but Fenerbahce have an advantage over the pair.

It is claimed that Fenerbahce's offer is superior to those on the table from Crystal Palace and West Ham.

Diame wants time to mull over his next move, but the Newcastle star is interested in the prospect of moving to Turkey.

The 31-year-old started on Sunday in Newcastle's final Premier League game of the season and clocked up all 90 minutes in an impressive 4-0 win at Fulham for the Magpies.

Diame has been plying his trade in English football since a 2009 switch to Wigan Athletic and Fenerbahce may benefit if he desires a fresh challenge.

However, Crystal Palace and West Ham would both offer Diame the opportunity to continue his career in the Premier League.
