Former Premier League striker Dion Dublin has joked he would score double figures at the age of 50 if Liverpool full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson were delivering balls into the box for him.

Alexander-Arnold and Robertson have been in superb form for Liverpool this season and were named in the starting eleven for the Reds' 2-0 win over Wolves in their final game of the Premier League season on Sunday.

Liverpool's right-back, Alexander-Arnold, finished the Premier League season with 12 assists, the most a defender has ever managed in the league over the course of a campaign.

Dublin was impressed with what he saw from Alexander-Arnold and Robertson and joked even at his age he would score goals in the Premier League if being supplied with balls into the box by the pair.

He said after Alexander-Arnold supplied the assist for Sadio Mane to score Liverpool's second on the BBC's Final Score programme: "I reckon if I was playing with Robertson and Trent Alexander, I'd score double figures, at 50 years old!

"I'd still score double figures.

"Their quality is that good."
