And it has been claimed that Spezia striker Okereke has emerged as a possible target for the Hammers ahead of the transfer window.
According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, West Ham have been keeping close tabs on the Nigerian forward, who has been impressive this season in Serie B.
The 21-year-old has bagged ten goals in the second tier of Italian football and his development has been closely monitored by the east London club this season.
They have not taken a final call on whether to pursue him, but the club are claimed to be thinking about making a move for Okereke.
West Ham are likely to face stiff competition from Crystal Palace, who have also been keeping tabs on the forward and could rival the Hammers for his signature.
