Celtic legend Chris Sutton has contributed to picking an all Rangers team of the week in the Scottish Premiership, after the Hoops were convincingly beaten by their rivals on Sunday at Ibrox.

Neil Lennon’s men suffered their first defeat in domestic competitions since the turn of the year on Sunday, when they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at Ibrox in the Premiership.

The Hoops lacked the hunger and desire that propelled them to an eighth consecutive league title earlier this season and were convincingly beaten by Rangers during the final derby of the campaign.

And following their impressive win over Celtic at Ibrox, Rangers have warranted praise from several quarters, including Hoops legend Sutton.

The former Celtic striker has reflected on the derby defeat to Rangers by picking an all Rangers team of the week in the Premiership, along with TV host Darrell Currie, for BT Sport.

Despite several other fixtures taking place during the weekend, Sutton has opted to name the same Rangers playing eleven that secured the win over Celtic on Sunday. Steven Gerrard was also picked as manager of the week.

“Here it is, Team of the week”, Sutton wrote on Twitter after posting a picture of the all Rangers playing eleven.

Rangers could finish with a flourish by winning seven games in a row, if they manage to secure maximum points against Kilmarnock on Sunday.

However, the Gers suffered a 2-1 defeat at Rugby Park during the corresponding fixture between the sides in the Premiership back in January.

As such, they will be eyeing exacting revenge on Killie during the final day of the season this weekend.
