Besiktas are poised to hold talks with Everton over a proposed loan deal for striker Cenk Tosun during the last week of this month.

Tosun, who secured a permanent move to Everton from Besiktas during the winter transfer window last season, has struggled to establish himself as a key player at Goodison Park.

The 27-year-old netted just four goals in all competitions this season and has attracted interest from his homeland in the form of Fenerbahce and former club Besiktas.

And according to Turkish daily Takvim, Besiktas are poised to hold talks with Everton over the possibility of a deal for Tosun at the end of this month.

It has been claimed the Black Eagles want to re-sign Tosun and will formally hold talks with Everton during the last week of May.

Despite the interest from rivals Fenerbahce, Besiktas will be hoping to make use of their good relationship with Everton to win the race for Tosun.

However, it remains to be seen what form any deal might take.

And on what terms Everton might be willing to let Tosun go.

Tosun is under contract at Everton until the summer of 2022.

The Turkey international netted 24 goals in all competitions for Besiktas during his final full season with the club during the 2016/17 campaign.
