Watford talent Dodi Lukebakio admits he has heard about interest from Schalke and concedes that anything can happen in the summer transfer window.

Lukebakio is currently nearing the end of a season-long loan from Watford at Fortuna Dusseldorf, where he has caught the eye.

The 21-year-old Belgian has been linked with Schalke, while RB Leipzig are claimed to see him as a potential replacement for Timo Werner.

It is unclear whether Lukebakio will head back to Vicarage Road in the summer or continue in the Bundesliga, or elsewhere.

The Belgian admits he has heard about reported interest from Schalke, but does not want to take his focus away from the season, which is yet to finish in Germany.

But the attacker admits that while his future is unclear, anything is possible.

"I have also read that [about Schalke]", Lukebakio was quoted as saying by German daily Bild.

"In addition, the season is still going. After that, maybe I can say something.

"Nothing is clear, everything is possible."

Lukebakio has netted ten goals in 30 Bundesliga games for Fortuna Dusseldorf, along with chipping in with four assists for his team-mates.

He grabbed an eye-catching hat-trick in a 3-3 draw with Bayern Munich in November.
