Tony Dorigo has insisted that he is still waiting for Derby County manager Frank Lampard to come up with a plan to tackle Leeds United this season.

Leeds scored a league double over the Rams during the normal season and beat them again in the first leg of their Championship playoff semi-final at Pride Park last Saturday.

Derby are coming into the second leg at Elland Road still searching for an answer on how to beat Leeds and knowing that they need to overturn the 1-0 deficit.

Dorigo admits that he did not see anything new from Lampard in all the three games against Leeds and feels Derby have struggled when forced to change from their normal style against the Whites.

The former White wants to see Derby change something tonight at Elland Road and feels if they score the first goal, they could get the confidence they need to get a result at Elland Road.

Dorigo said on LUTV's preview show when asked what Leeds can expect from Derby: “They’ll try to think what they can do.

“Obviously Frank Lampard has been thinking about it since the first game, ‘what can I do?’ and he has not come up with a solution that I can see.

“They are very much a ball playing side, they like to have possession, but sometimes when you take it away from them, they think we don’t normally play like this and they struggle.

“It is going to be difficult for them and they need to change something.

“Like every game, the first goal is important.

"If they can get the first goal, then maybe you can see them play slightly differently.”

Leeds are aware that a draw at home would take them to the Championship playoff final where Aston Villa lie in wait.
